Nothing like a new hat!
My friend Cat has a whippet named Pogo. A while back, I knitted a hat for her. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t fit very well, since I freehanded the pattern, but I think it came out pretty great based on the photos Cat sent me!

Meet Money …

LNB Measuremoney.
Money is a youngin, born 7/22/10. His track data is on the Tucson info site, therefore a pain in the ass to read, so I can’t tell you how he did.
He is Jax’s cousin though, same father and grandfather, and he’s a broadbacked sweet boy. Not a fan of the bathtub, he’s a sitter while you bathe him. (Meaning he’ll slowly lower his rear end until he’s sitting in the tub) and you’re forced to hold him upright to finish. He’s not a fan of hardwood floors… that being said I’ve only had him in the house 2 times since he’s been here. He much prefers the backyard, enjoying the concrete or laying on the turf that’s out there in the shade. He was doing alright until later this evening he slipped and managed to take a dip in the pool. Once indoors, he’s a slider, looking for all intents and purposes like someone learning to ice skate for the very first time.
I’m not looking forward to having to force him into the car tomorrow morning with these bruised ribs of mine, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

BOC’s Iggie, born 5/30/07. 69 races with 18 First place wins! 10 second place wins! This puts her grade as AA.
She’s utterly adorable, sweet, loving, and so far fearless. Content to be in the same room with you or wander outside, she’s far from skittish. Eating wasn’t a race to her, she ate at a normal pace, not wolfing it down like many do. Carefully placing her feet, she’s raced around the pool without mishap. She took her bath like a champ, stoic to the end. I can see her future owners being asked if she’s a Dalmatian due to her coloring, with only Greyhound owners and Dalmatian owners knowing right off the bat what she is.
If you’re interested, I’d stalk her on GPA-AZ website, I don’t think this sweetheart will be available long!
Here’s a great little intro to the world of Greyhound Rescue (in the USA) … thank heavens for people like Julie and the countless other volunteers who give so generously of their time to help these amazing dogs out.
